Summary: I LOVED House Mayfa! After making the cottage my home for 65 nights I was very sad to leave. It is on a quiet road that dead ends at an old dairy farm. Neighbors are quiet and respectful. The home is quaint and extremely comfortable. The hosts have incorporated lots of local and tasteful antiques and accessories. The house has a well stocked kitchen and can accommodate entertaining friends with the provision of nice silver and china. Items for children are available if desired. The home is well situated and one can easily access shopping, tourist location, and other places of interest. Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Gerardmer are easy drives within 2 or 3 hours. As a solo female traveler I felt extremely safe at House Mayfa. The hosts were accessible at a moments notice to address any issues or provide advice.
